Wall-eyed stereo view of a model for the interaction between C. albicans Tpi1 and VTR. The indicated dimer of C. albicans Tpi1 (purple), with an active site denoted in gray, was obtained by homology modeling with Modeller software, based on the S. cerevisiae Tpi structure (66 % identity; PDB, 3 ypi). Tpi1 amino acids, marked in yellow, are directly involved in the interaction with VTR (green), as found by chemical cross-linking.
