Binding of GroEL to the Vero Cells. Protein adherence to cells was assessed by an ELISA-based assay. Zero to four micrometres recombinant proteins were added to wells previously coated with cells. Lp25 and LigBC were used as negative and positive controls, respectively. Data represent the mean of absorbance value at 492 nm ± standard error of three independent experiments. For statistical analyses, the binding of GroEL protein to the Vero cells was compared to the binding of the negative-control protein Lp25 by t-test.
