Qualitative analysis of fusaric acid produced by the strains in Czapek Dox broth. The fusaric acid extracted from the mycelia of wild-type and mutants were tested for their activity against Bacillus subtilis and the zone of inhibition recorded. The zone of inhibition corresponds to the amount of fusaric acid produced. The deletion mutant showed relatively smaller zone of inhibition as compared to the wild-type strain. Dunnett’s multiple comparisons test was performed to determine the significant difference between the zone of inhibition of the wild-type and mutant strains (**** P < 0.0001, *** P < 0.001)
