The effect of temperature on growth of the csrA mutant of Y. enterocolitica . Strains GY123 (WT), GY448 (csrA), GY6536 (VC) and GY6535 (csrA/csrA+) were cultured and serial dilutions were plated onto TYE agar medium in replicate. One replicate for each strain was incubated at A) 6°C for three weeks, B) 26°C for 48 hours, C) 37°C for 24 hours or D) 42°C for 24 hours. CFU (A-C) or lawn formation (D) was quantified. Results represent averages ± standard deviation from three independent experiments performed in triplicate.
