The yellow boxes indicate the ortholog genes shared by both C. jejuni and C. coli (ptA-phosphate acetyltrasferase, AckA-acetate kinase, AcS-acetyl-CoA synthetase and SucD- succinyl-CoA synthetase) while the green boxes indicates those genes present only in C. coli strains (PrpE- propionate-CoA ligase and PrpC-2-methyl citrate synthase).
