Western blot analysis of 6 × His tagged full-length HydH5 and truncations bound to intact S. aureus Sa9 cells. Purified proteins (5 μg) were mixed with exponentially growing cells, centrifuged and the pellet was washed with PBS, boiled with the sample buffer and electrophoresed in a 15% SDS-PAGE gel. Western blot analysis with monoclonal antibodies recognizing His-tags were used for detecting the cell bound proteins.
