Expression profiling of type I IFN-related genes in B515-infected mouse skin. Skin biopsies were collected from the site of inoculation 24 h after infection of mice with 1×104 B. burgdorferi B515 spirochetes or with medium only (Control). Equivalent amounts of RNA from five animals per experimental group were separately pooled and used as a template for RT-PCR using the RT2 Profiler PCR Array PAMM-016: Mouse Interferon α, β Response kit. Gene symbols are used to designate transcripts that were found to be changed at least two-fold in B515-infected skin relative to skin from controls. Fold change values are indicated in parentheses
