Glucose-induced acidification of medium by R. solani upon mASAL treatment. The mycelia of R. solani were washed and resuspended in sterile water and challenged with mASAL (20 μg/ml) (squares) or water (diamond) followed by resuspension in 2 % (w/v) glucose solution. The change of the external pH was measured using a digital pH meter at time points of 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 min. Each value represents the average of three independent experiments with standard deviations as error bars (*, P < 0.05)
