Absence of BB0028 results in decreased BesC in the B. burgdorferi OM. A. Outer membrane (OM) and protoplasmic cylinder (PC) fractions were isolated from the BB0028 mutant (LKflacp::0028) and parental (WT) strains for immunoblot analysis using antibodies specific for BesC, BamD/BB0324, CspA, and OppAIV. B. OM and PC fractions were isolated from the BamD/BB0324 mutant (BamD::strepR) and its parental wildtype (WT) strain and immunoblotted with antibodies specific for BesC, BB0028, CspA, and OppAIV.
