From: Rhodococcus erythropolis MTHt3 biotransforms ergopeptines to lysergic acid
Dependance of ergotamine and ergine biotransformation on temperature. R. erythropolis MTHt3 at 2% of maximum cell density reached in TSB was incubated with 5Â mg/ml ergotamine or ergine in sodium phosphate buffer pHÂ 7.0 at various temperatures. Samples from ergotamine biotransformation reactions were taken after 2Â h, and samples from ergine biotransformation reactions were taken after 10Â h.
