Dependance of ergotamine and ergine biotransformation on temperature. R. erythropolis MTHt3 at 2% of maximum cell density reached in TSB was incubated with 5 mg/ml ergotamine or ergine in sodium phosphate buffer pH 7.0 at various temperatures. Samples from ergotamine biotransformation reactions were taken after 2 h, and samples from ergine biotransformation reactions were taken after 10 h.
