Dose-dependent expression of MMPs 1−3 and TIMP-1 mRNAs in P. gingivalis LPS-treated HGFs. Expression of MMP-1 (a), MMP-2 (b) MMP-3 (c) and TIMP-1(d) mRNAs after the stimulation of P. gingivalis (Pg) LPS1435/1449, LPS1690 and E. coli LPS in a dose-dependent assay (1 ng/ml, 10 ng/ml, 100 ng/ml, 1 μg/ml and 10 μg/ml) for 24 h. The expression of mRNAs was measured by real-time qPCR. Each bar represents the mean ± SD of three independent experiments with three replicates. *Significant difference (p < 0.05) as compared with the controls without LPS treatment.
