Δpof1 cells are sensitive to oxidative stress. A representative viability assay showing cells exposed to hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) or tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BOOH) on rich solid media (YPD). The cells (collected at stationary phase) were diluted to OD_{600 nm} = 0.2, followed by 4 serial dilutions of 5X. A total of 5 μL of each dilution were spotted on the plates, which were incubated at 30°C for 48 h and photographed.
